Vice President of Administration & Finance Search

The campus community is invited to attend presentations by the three finalists for the Vice President for Administration and Finance/Chief Financial Officer position. The presentations have been scheduled for 3 p.m. on Monday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 15 in the Nob Hill Room of the Seven Hills Conference Center. The meeting on Thursday, May 16 will be held at 3 p.m. in the Richmond Room of the Towers Conference Center.

Preparing for SF State's Next Strategic Plan

San Francisco State University's previous strategic plan, CUSP II, is now more than 10 years old. As we move forward into a new era, it is time for the university to review its mission, values and strategic goals. Our shared sense of purpose is an undeniable institutional strength and it has helped San Francisco State to weather some challenging times. Our next strategic planning effort will provide the opportunity to revise and reaffirm our goals and directions for the future, while identifying several institutional-level objectives for growth and improvement over the short, medium and long term.

After consultation with campus leaders and the Executive Committee of the Academic Senate, I invite your feedback on a draft charge for a Strategic Planning Coordinating Committee, its composition and a proposed timeline. I am interested in getting your feedback in time to seat and charge a committee in May. Please review the draft charge and send me your comments or suggestions.
